Jollibee Opens First Cloud Kitchen in Singapore

Adapting to the needs of its customerzs in the changing business environment, the Jollibee Group opened its first cloud kitchen in Singapore today, August 10, 2020, for its Jollibee brand. Cloud kitchens are unmarked
food production and delivery hubs without any dine-in facility in discreet and lower rent
urban locations.

The opening of Jollibee Singapore’s inaugural cloud kitchen comes as demand for its food delivery continues to grow significantly. The business contribution of Jollibee Singapore’s Delivery has more than quadrupled compared to last year – from 10% in 2019 to 45% in 2020.

The Jollibee Tampines Cloud Kitchen employs the same heightened safety standards that can be seen in all Jollibee Singapore outlets. The crew wear masks at all times and follow physical distancing and stringent food safety protocols

“As cloud kitchens roll out, we will be able to reach more consumers and fulfill more
orders. The Jollibee Group is able to expand more quickly and cost-efficiently through this innovative store model, while maintaining the same safety and quality standards of our food,” said Ernesto Tanmantiong, Chief Executive Officer of the Jollibee Group.

The cloud kitchen in Singapore is the third cloud kitchen to open in the Jollibee Group,
with more slated to open soon. Cloud kitchens are part of the Jollibee Group’s overall transformation strategy to adapt to new customer habits and meet the continued strong demand for delivery amid the pandemic.

Customers may order from the Jollibee Tampines Cloud Kitchen via FoodPanda, GrabFood, and Deliveroo. Delivery riders employ contactless procedures to help ensure food safety.

Jollibee Group opened its very first cloud kitchen in the UAE last March, which continues to outperform targets. In the US, its recently opened cloud kitchen in Chicago’s bustling River North neighborhood was also well-received. Tampines is a residential area in the region of Tanah Merah located in the East Region of Singapore. The Jollibee cloud kitchen in Singapore is open from 10 am to 8 pm.

Crowd Store Finder : A website for locating nearby open stores

Crowd Store Finder

A website launched for locating nearby open stores,
pharmacies during quarantine period

MARCH 25, 2020 - As most establishments in the Philippines close due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) making it both hard and risky to go out to buy goods, a website is launched to help locate those that are still open.

Called ‘Crowd Store Finder’, the website works like Waze or Google Maps that scans through the user’s neighborhood to find stores, banks, pharmacies, and remittance centers that remain operational.

Under government guidelines, only establishments selling basic commodities are allowed to open during the quarantine period. This is to prevent people from staying outdoors that increases their risk of catching COVID-19.

Aside from knowing the open establishments, users can also chat with their neighbors who are currently using the website to ask questions and seek further assistance.

Crowd Store Finder’ relies on information shared by volunteers from Good Vibes Digital PH, a group organized by Trinmar Boado, winner of the Clash of Codes competition at Multisys Technologies in 2019.

Boado, who works at the Department of Science and Technology’s Metals Industry Research and Development Center (DOST-MIRDC), said more than 100 volunteers are coordinating safely from their own homes.

“This technology reminds us that sharing of info does not just save the time of other people but also their lives,” shared the IT expert.

To use the website, visit bit.ly/CrowdStoreFinder on any mobile, tablet or computer devices. Follow Crowd Store Finder on Facebook at fb.com/CrowdStoreFinder.

An Evening With 98° - The Philippine Tour 2020

An Evening With 98°

- The Philippine Tour 2020

Pop/R&B vocal group 98 Degrees have announced that the quartet of Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre, will be bringing their greatest hits to the Philippines dubbed as "An Evening with 98 Degrees" The Philippine Tour 2020."

In contrast to many of their contemporaries, 98 Degrees were founded independently before they signed a recording contract with Motown Records in 1997. Their debut album also arrived that year, featuring their first top twenty single, “Invisible Man.” Touring extensively to build their cachet and eventually migrating to Universal Records, the foursome released an impressive arsenal of successful albums (98 Degrees and Rising, This Christmas, Revelation) and radio hits (“Because of You,” “The Hardest Thing,” “This Gift,” “My Everything,” “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche),” and “Thank God I Found You,” a collaboration with Mariah Carey and Joe that would propel them to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2000)

How about you, What is your favorite 98° song???

All told, 98 Degrees’ album sales have exceeded ten million units internationally.

In 2002, the group went on hiatus, during which its members pursued a wide array of solo projects – musical and otherwise. A decade after putting the 98 Degrees banner into semi-retirement, the quartet announced in 2012 they would be recording their fifth studio album and began touring again.

In February 2020, Big Hot Events Management brings An Evening with 98 Degrees the Philippine Tour and is staged to perform at the following:

February 16, 2020 SMX Convention Center Davao

February 19, 2020 Waterfront Hotel & Casino Cebu City

February 25, 2020 SM Mall of Asia Arena
